Sen Kee received his Bachelor’s in Medicine and Surgery from Zhejiang University and a Master’s Degree in Audiology from the School of Medicine, Loo Yong Lin National University of Singapore. He is both a Zhejiang University and Healthcare Graduate Studies School (MOH) scholarship holder.
After completing his master’s, Sen Kee took a position as a clinical audiologist at Sengkang General Hospital, seeing patients with hearing loss, tinnitus and dizziness and recommending a wide array of hearing devices such as hearing aids, cochlear implants, bone-anchored hearing aids to aid their hearing hence improving their communication and quality of life. He does assessments for adults struggling with vestibular disorders. He aims to provide patient-centred care in preventing, identifying, diagnosing or treating hearing loss and other auditory disorders in adults and children. His goal is to minimise the negative impact of these conditions, improving patient outcomes and quality of life.
In July 2022, he received the gold award for the Singapore Health Quality Services Awards (SHQSA) for his outstanding and commendable contribution to public healthcare. He is a member of the Society for Audiology (Singapore) and formerly served as a treasurer.
Deepak received his Master’s Degree in Speech & Hearing from Mangalore University in India. After completing his education, he became an audiologist at Canossian School, Singapore, working with children with hearing loss.
In 2005 he joined Singapore General Hospital as a clinical audiologist. He worked there for 17 years, managing paediatric adult and elderly patients with a wide array of complex hearing issues recommending hearing technologies like hearing aids, bone anchored devices, cochlear implants and FM systems. He was also the deputy manager & team lead for training and education, research and paediatric panel at the Centre for Hearing & Ear Implants, SGH. He has also been appointed as an external clinical educator in the past for the Masters in audiology programme at NUS.
In 2012, he received the Singhealth Health Quality service award (SHQSA). In November 2019, he received the National Day Efficiency Medal from Mr Gan Kim Yong, former Minister of Health, in recognition of his contributions to hearing healthcare in Singapore.
He is currently a full member of the Society for Audiology Professionals (Singapore) since 2002 and was a former secretary and vice president for SAPS.
